Valery Nikolayevich Elizarov
Honored Artist of Tuva Republic,
member of the Artists Union of Russia.
He was born in 1957 in Kyzyl. He graduated from the Kyzyl Art College in 1980.
Works in the genre of poster, graphics, incl. book illustration, computer graphics, applied decorative art and painting.
He is the author of the methodical manual "The Magic World of Berries" (published by the Tuva Institute of Integrated Development of Natural Resources of the SB RAS in 2003). In 1995 he was invited to Finland to conduct training courses on birch bark. There also in Finland, in Turku, his first foreign personal exhibition of works from birch bark was opened.
For several years worked closely with the National Museum of Tuva Republic in the design of expositions of the museum and its branches: the city of Chadan, the village of Aldan-Maadyr, the settlement of Khovu-Aksy. In 1997, participated in the design of the exhibition "Shamans of Tuva" in Antwerp (Belgium). Is the author, design developer and executor of the exhibition halls "Treasures of the Valley of the Kings" (Gold of the Scythians, Arzhaan-2 mound). The author of the project and the performer of the exposition of stone sculptures of Tuva (stelarium at the museum territory).
His works on skin, birch bark and stone express the spiritual world, the ethnographic roots of the peoples of Central Asia and the North. Shamans of Tuva, Khakassia, Germany, Switzerland work on tambourines produced by him.
In 2006 there was a photo album "Journey to the Art of the Ancients" issued, which is the author's project of V.N. Elizarov and V.P. Kuznetsov (published by "Information Technologies").
In 2010 at the 14th International Television Ecological Festival "To Save and to Keep" in Khanty-Mansiysk the artist presented the movie "The Sermon of Goodness" dedicated to the memory of artist Yuriy Deev.
In 2015, computer graphics helped create illustrations for the book "The Destiny of the Shaman" by M.B. Kenin-Lopsan.
His works are presented at the National Museum of Tuva Republic, the Tomsk Historical Museum, the Museum of the historical complex of the village of Shushenskoye, the Local History Museum of Gorno-Altaisk, the Novokuznetsk Art Museum, in private collections in Finland, Germany, Austria, Japan, US.
